The Bachelor of Global Studies (Sustainability) is a unique interdisciplinary degree which equips students with a capacity to formulate solutions to the challenges of globalisation and the development of sustainable communities. The structure of the program follows world megatrends, reflected in the interconnectivity and interplay within diverse fields of study: climate change, sustainable development, global health and disease, international institutions and transnational business. The program also aims to prepare students for fronting increased human security threats through sustained transnational collaboration. The global dialogue needed for the security of globalised communities requires competencies in International Relations, diplomacy and intercultural partnership. The Bachelor of Global Studies (Sustainability) develops an active global citizen with knowledge and skills enabling them to contribute to the development of sustainable societies of the future.
Depending on individual interests and needs, students can choose a major which develops the knowledge gained in the twelve compulsory subjects. The following Majors afford students an opportunity to progress in specialised fields of their choice: Australian Studies, Digital Media, Language and Culture (French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese) and Global Business.
