To be accepted into a Monash College Diploma, you must meet the academic and English language requirements. You will also need to check the age, subject and course prerequisites before you apply. Prerequisite subjects. You must meet the additional course prerequisite subjects which are equivalent to Australian Year 11 (part 1) or Australian Year 12 (part 2). Part 1 Part 2 Mathematics and Chemistry or Physics Mathematics and Chemistry or Physics Part 2: You must have studied Chemistry or Physics. If you have studied only one of these subjects, you will need to study the other subject during your Diploma. Alternative academic entry requirements For a full list of academic entry requirements and prerequisites, by country visit the Monash College website. Minimum age requirements. Part 1: 16 years, Part 2: 17 years. If you do not meet the age requirements, you may be offered a deferred place. English entry requirements Diploma Part 1 IELTS: 5.5 overall (no band lower than 5.0) TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 52 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 15, Listening: 5, Reading: 5 and Speaking: 14 Equivalent approved English test Diploma Part 2 IELTS: 6.0 overall (Writing not less than 6.0) TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 69 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21
