Admission to the Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) programs is based on meeting the minimum selection rank requirement, submission of the Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) supplementary form in support of your application.

The award is available each year to a current ANU student who:
(a) is a domestic or international student;
(b) is enrolled in an Advanced Studies Course (SCNC2101, SCNC2102, SCNC2103, SCNC2104, SCNC3101, SCNC3102) as part of their Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) - Science degree program in the semester for which they have applied for the award; and
(c) intending to undertake a research project within the Advanced Studies Course:
In astronomy/astrophysics or astronomical instrumentation under the supervision of an academic in the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA) (including the Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre (AITC));
which has been approved as a suitable student research project by the RSAA/AITC research project supervisor, and the RSAA PhB Astrophysics Discipline Coordinator (RSAA PhB Convenor), and the College of Science PhB Convenor.
Each award is worth AUS $3,000.
The award will be paid as a one-off payment after the census date for the Advanced Studies (SCNC) course within which the research project is undertaken.

Director's Scholarship for Academic Excellence is offered by ANU College of Science to the very best international students from the ANU - SDU Joint Science College (JSC) at Shandong University, Weihai, China.
The scholarship rewards high quality, top-performing students from JSC who come to study at ANU.
The Award is available to a prospective ANU student who:
is an International student; and
is currently enrolled in the ANU-SDU Joint Science College at Shandong University, Weihai; and
receives an offer of admission to a vertical double degree combination of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs offered by the ANU College of Science; and
has not received the Award previously.
The scholarship offers an award of AUD $15,000 over two years. The award is paid in equal instalments after census date of the first and third semester after commencement at ANU.
