This course aims to address such far-reaching issues with the combined expertise of a multidisciplinary department. Through supervisor feedback, self-evaluated activites and tutor-based support, we will help you to develop as a chemist whether you're looking to embark on a PhD or to pursue work outside academia. Discoveries in chemistry research have the potential to improve lives and solve problems of global significance, from ageing to environmental degradation. As a Brighton student, you'll gain advanced knowledge of techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy and electroanalysis, and benefit from state-of-the-art laboratories in our new Huxley building. You'll graduate with a highly prized qualification and a bank of scientific expertise. Our graduates have been awarded PhD studentships at top UK universities and now work for companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Southern Water and Novartis. Students can exit with PGDip and PGCert.

A 2:1 degree in a relevant subject. Students with a degree that does not fall within this category but who have significant relevant experience, will also be considered. All applicants should provide a full description of any research projects undertaken, relevant work experience and non-academic qualifications. ATAS requirements - The JACS code for this course is F100, meaning that students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland will have to apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate before they apply for a visa. IELTS score of 6.5, with no part below 6.0.

Students are required to hold a bachelor degree (Licence or Karshenasi), a Professional Doctorate (Doctora dar rashteh plus the professional field), or a University of Technology degree. Minimum English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 (min 5.5 in all components).
