Civil Engineering (with Integrated Foundation Year) MEng (Hons)

Our Civil Engineering MEng (with integrated foundation year) accredited course offers a year of study before embarking on an integrated master’s level qualification. Upon successful completion of the foundation year, students automatically progress to the first year of our accredited Civil Engineering MEng course. The MEng qualification gives you the opportunity to study at master’s level, enabling you to become a highly skilled engineer with the ability to manage design, construction and the maintenance of infrastructure. The course will lead to opportunities in structural engineering, geotechnics, hydraulics, environmental engineering and surveying. Recent graduates from our civil engineering courses have been employed by companies including Halcrow, Hemsley Orrell Partnership, HR Wallingford, WS Atkins, Mott MacDonald, MWH, Laing O’Rourke, Balfour Beatty, Costain, Kier Group and Southern Water. Students may also go on to study for a PhD. This degree is accredited as fully satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
