Halcyon's mission is ""to provide an exceptional education that draws out the unique potential of each student."" Offering the International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programme to a small community of students aged 11-18, Halcyon - the only not-for-profit IB school in London - invests in teachers that integrate three values into the core of their practice: innovation, collaboration and community. These values underpin Halcyon's incorporation of leading-edge pedagogic research into teaching; their purposefully designed Extra-Curricular, Explorations and Wellbeing Programmes; and their family-oriented, individualised Admissions process.

The school's wider community life is built around inspiring students to feel valued, engaged, and confident as individual learners. The school's Wellbeing Programme intentionally takes an approach that diverges from traditional pastoral care. Students have access to a School Counsellor, the school's Student Wellbeing Leader, Restorative Practitioner and Learning Coach which ensures they are equipped to approach academic, social and emotional obstacles healthily and effectively.
